3. Recipients and service providers
Data is only made available where necessary for the service. Éditions Perspectives may use the following providers:
- Stripe for online payments;
- Vercel for website hosting and server functions;
- IONOS for business email;
- delivery or distribution providers where required to fulfil an order.
These providers process data subject to their own legal and contractual obligations. Some may use infrastructure outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers are governed by the safeguards provided for under the GDPR and the relevant provider’s commitments.
4. Retention periods
- Orders, accounting records and invoicing data: kept for the duration needed for the commercial relationship and archived for up to 10 years where required by accounting rules.
- Complaints, withdrawals, returns and evidence required to protect legal rights: for the time needed to handle the matter and then, where necessary, for the applicable limitation period, generally up to 5 years where evidence must be retained.
- Assistant access: information required to recognise an eligible purchase may be retained with the order so the customer can recover the benefit included with the book.
- Secure recovery links: the link expires after 30 minutes. Related technical metadata may remain associated with the order for security and traceability, without making the expired link usable.
- Contact requests without an order: for the time needed to respond and, unless a particular need exists, no longer than 3 years after the last exchange.
5. Cookies, local storage and trackers
The website currently uses no advertising trackers, commercial profiling tools or audience measurement requiring consent.
Strictly necessary technical mechanisms may nevertheless be used, for example to remember the contents of the shopping cart or preferences required for the purchasing process. Payment is then completed in Stripe’s secure environment, which may use its own trackers required for payment, security and fraud prevention.
If analytics, advertising or other non-essential trackers are added in the future, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be introduced before activation where required by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and the processing concerned, you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, object to certain processing, or exercise a right to data portability where applicable.
To exercise your rights, email contact@editions-perspectives.fr. Proof of identity will only be requested when necessary to verify the requester’s identity.
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
7. Security
Éditions Perspectives implements reasonable measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Payments are handled by Stripe and access recovery links are temporary and secured.
8. Updates
This policy may be updated as services, providers or legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the version currently in force.
